FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you send a file. If your question is not here, contact the concierge.

When will I hear back about a quote?

We reply within one business day, and usually within a few hours during our working week: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm IST, excluding public holidays. A request that reaches us after we close on Friday is answered on Monday. The clock starts once we have the details needed to assess your request.

How quickly can you deliver a transcript?

Standard turnaround is 24 hours for the first two audio hours, and every additional two hours adds a block: a four-hour deposition is 24 hours standard, or 12 hours at rush. Economy is 48 hours at 15% less. We quote in two-audio-hour blocks because that is how the work scales, and we confirm the delivery date before starting.

How much does transcription cost?

Published rates start at $1.09 per audio minute. The final quote reflects the audio, number of speakers, turnaround and any specialist or formatting requirements.

Is the transcription done by people?

Yes. Every transcript is reviewed and quality-assured by people in multiple passes. On the AI-drafted tier, AI only assists the first draft; it never reviews or approves the transcript.

Which audio and video formats can I send?

We accept most common formats, including MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, MOV and AVI. If your file is unusual, send the details with your quote request and we will confirm it before work starts.

Can you follow our formatting or template?

Yes. Include your requirements or template with the request. We confirm what is covered before work begins.

What happens if part of the audio is unclear?

We mark unclear passages with timestamps rather than guess. You receive the flagged points to review.

Is my audio confidential?

Yes. Your audio is never used to train a model. We can provide an NDA or BAA where needed, and certified deletion is available on request.

When do I pay?

We invoice after delivery. Rush or large jobs may require a deposit when the quote is confirmed.
