What a finished transcript looks like

How to read it

Four things worth checking in any sample

Speaker attribution through crosstalk

Does the transcript keep the right name on the right line when two people talk at once?

Marked uncertainty

Are unclear passages timestamped and flagged, or silently filled with a plausible guess?

Formatting you can file

Is it a finished document in your house style, or raw text you still have to lay out?

Detail that carries risk

Figures, drug names, claim numbers and proper nouns are where errors cost the most.
